Tammie Day, is an Australian counsellor and group facilitator of 17 years. She is the founder of Vibrant Women. Tammieย organises retreats and workshops worldwide and has a particular interest in the positive psychology movement, Buddhismย and cultivating mindfulness. Tammie is a yoga, nia dance and mindfulness teacher who tries to experience theย beauty that is all around. ย The Balinese call this โcuci mataโ to wash your eyes or to see the ordinaryย in a new and extraordinary way. Nestled on the lush outskirts of Ubud, Sri Ratih Cottages is a lovely hotel known for itsย Balinese design, tranquil atmosphere, and the warm hospitality of the staff. The spaciously set out rooms surround the inviting turquoise waters of the swimming pool which sits at the centre of well-kept tropical gardens. Sri Ratih Cottages enjoys a strategic location in the lush and peaceful hinterlands of Ubud, Baliโs artistic and spiritual centre. It is approximately 1.5 hourโs drive from NgurahRai international airport. The bustling centre of town is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. From Sri Ratih Cottages, guests can easily reach the restaurants, galleries, shops and city attractions such as Pura Dalem Temple and Ubud Palace. The provincial art village of Penestanan is just a 10 minute walk away as are stunning views of rice fields and the breathtaking Campuhan Hill ridge walk. Taxis can be arranged at the front office and are a very affordable and easy option for getting around.ย
*Please note that being in a smaller village has its advantages but wildlife still abounds. Noisy geckos and roosters along with early morning motorbikes may disturb your sleep. I suggest brining earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Room Facilities
Sri Ratih comprises of 30 air-conditioned, clean comfortable 3 star rooms. All rooms include a terrace where guests can relax and take in the view of the gardens or swimming pool. Rooms are tastefully decorated with of Balinese style furnishings, accented with unique pieces of traditional art. Bathrooms are spacious and well-presented with a modern tropical feel. Guests can enjoy a range of programs on their satellite television with an in-house movie channel. Rooms also include expansive wardrobes, a telephone, mini bar, hair dryer (on request). Sri Ratih provides free Wi-Fi access in every room and throughout the hotel grounds. Laundry service is also available.
*Please note that Indonesia is not a western country, even though on the surface it may appear advanced, the infrastructure isn’t always there. This means that at times the power and internet drop out. The water pressure can be low and lights dim. The beds may be more firm than you are used to, this is across all of Asia and also why no top sheet! Only doonas!! Please keep this in mind when booking this trip and also carry this knowledge with you as you travel around Bali.ย

Our swimming pool, set amidst the tropical garden of frangipanis and coconut palms provides the perfect place for our guests to unwind and cool off from the tropical heat. The on-site Sri Ratih Spa is also an ideal place for relaxation and offers guests a range of treatments including Balinese massage, manicures and pedicures provided by highly-qualified professional spa therapists.
Located on the grounds of Sri Ratih is our beautifully-designed restaurant which serves a delectable selection of Balinese and International cuisine from our a la carte menu. Sri Ratih Cafรฉ opens for breakfast from 7.30am and remains open until 11pm. The restaurant also serves authentic Balinese sweets, such as laklak, pisangrai and godoh at the breakfast.

7.15am Pick Up – PEMULAN FARM COOKING SCHOOLย
Pemulan Farm Cooking School has been open since 2014. The land where the cooking school being held, and the organic farm is own by local family in the village.
They are the only cooking school in Ubud that has its own farm.
Only here you will see how vegetables, fruit, and herbs grow. You will pick them fresh, and you will learn more about all the different ingredients. They grow everything organically.
Besides learning how to cook the basics of the local feast, you will see how a Balinese family with many years of experience and resourcefulness creates a self-sufficient and independent farm.
We know that your time with them will go well beyond a kitchen setting. Itโs a truly unique experience raised on a labour of love and much hard work.
They care about the quality of food, and they want to teach other people about it. That is the reason why they started PEMULAN FARM COOKING SCHOOL.
We want people to know how to cook healthy meals using fresh organic ingredients and enjoy eating Balinese food!
With the basic ingredients and hands-on experience, you will be able to cook like a Balinese!

9am – Canang Sari Class – Canang sari is one of the daily offerings made by Balinese Hindus to thank the Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa in praise and prayer. Canang sari will be seen in the Balinese temples, on small shrines in houses, and on the ground or as a part of a larger offering. we will take this offering to the temple to show thanks for our time in Bali.
At 10.30am we we leave for an Ancient Sound Healing sessions at the Pyramids of Chi followed by lunch 12.30pm. *self pay
You have free time this afternoon for any last minute shopping, massages etc, or relaxing by the pool then at,
5pm meet in the foyer to depart for dinner at The Samaya

Arrival is the 8th of June 2024 check in is from 2pm. You can arrive any time this is a free day with no activities. Some flights arrive very late at night this is also OK and usual for Bali. We will arrange your airport transfers for you. You can depart anytime on the 14th of June 2024.ย
*You do not need to arrive early for this retreat. This day has been set aside for arrivals only.ย

*If you require extra nights accommodation this can be arranged for you for $200AUD single room and $100 per person Twinshare depending on availability and includes breakfast and 21% taxes. We will try to ensure that you stay in the same room for the duration of the stay but will depend at the time of booking what is available?
All flights arriving to and leaving from Bali often do so at inconvenient times 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
As its peak season in Bali and the hotel is probably very heavily if not fully booked therefore a late check will not possible. Check out time is 12pm and you need to be at the airport 3 hours early as Bali can be difficult timewise to get through the airport. You also need to allow 2 hours to get to the airport. So, just know you wonโt really have much time between check out and when you need to depart. Please take this into consideration when planning your departure day. You can use the hotel facilities until departure and also store your bags.ย

Airport Transfer Driver Instructions: Please walk out the departure gate and you will see your driver behind the barrier with a sign with your name on it, donโt panic there will be lots of drivers, yours will be holding a yellow flag and carrying a sign with your name on it. If for some reason you canโt see your driver please donโt panic, there are lots of drivers sometimes it takes a while to locate them, if you canโt see them after 5 minutes or so please proceed to the information counter and ask them to call Kadek our Driver Organiser on WhatsApp – +62 813-3837-8807 or Tammie +61 459247122. *Please do not send a Facebook Message.

Australians can receive a visa on arrival, if your country cannot receive a VOA, you must apply for your visa in your own country. Visa are approx $50AUD and can be paid for with a credit card on arrival.ย

Entry Requirements
Foreign tourists visiting the Indonesian island will soon have to pay a $15AUD fee as part of efforts to preserve the island’s culture and environment. The levy, equivalent to 150,000 rupiah, will be collected electronically upon entry from abroad or other parts of Indonesia.

If you have chosen a twinshare room, and have not nominated someone to share with, we will do our best to find you a roommate. Please note however that if this is not possible, the single room rate will apply. We hope you understand and will keep you informed of the rooming situation as we allocate people.ย For people who have booked for a twinshare room with a friend please also know that if that if for some reason your roommate cancels and we are unable to find you a suitable replacement, the single room rate will apply. Again, we hope you understand as the accommodation price can no longer be shared.ย If for some reason the twinshare arrangement is not suitable to one or both parties once the tour has commenced then both parties will be responsible to pay a single room excess to be negotiated with the hotel and only on possible on availability
*If you have chosen to twinshare and have not divulged the necessary information to be a suitable sharing person (such as snoring, cpap machines, smoking, sleeping with the TV on etc) then during the tour you may need to move to a single room at your own expense if your roommate complains.
**In regard to the above mentioned, if you are sharing with someone and find yourselves incompatible for some reason and you would like to move to a single room you will need to also pay the single supplement for said room. This is to be negotiated with the hotel and only on possible on availability.
This Getaway has a $500 non-refundable non-transferable deposit. Final payment is due 75 days before the start of the trip. From 75 – 30 days to the start of the trip 50% of the amount paid will be retained in the case of a cancellation. This is because we have already paid in advance for accommodation, transport and activities and this money will not be returned to us. For cancellations less than 30 days and for no shows the entire amount will be retained. In addition, once the tour has commenced no monies will be returned to you. This is why travel insurance is compulsory.ย
During this trip we will walk almost everywhere. Bali has uneven and broken footpaths and lots of stairs. You must have a moderate level of fitness to attend this trip. Be able to walk up stairs and hills and have good enough balance to navigate difficult footpaths.ย Bali has lots of trip hazards so please wear appropriate stable footwear.ย Safety over fashion girls! ๐
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate complex dietary issues on our tours. If it is something you can manage yourself that is fine. But we cannot be responsible for peoples health and wellbeing in regards to food in foreign countries as sometimes things get lost in translation. We hope you understand. We don’t ever want our guests to become unwell whilst travelling with us.
