“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover. ” – Mark Twain

BENEFITS OF HAVING A MEANINGFUL HOLIDAY Changes are occurring in our lives at an ever-rapid pace. Our roles as parents, partners, caretakers, employees, etc., all vie for our time and energy. We become even further stretched as we encounter life transitions such as separation, career change, loss of a loved one, health challenges or identifying our life’s purpose. The need to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and reflect on what is important to us, is a form of self-care that has become crucial to our well-being. Purposeful holidays are an excellent way to accomplish this.

We have developed our retreats with comfort, natural beauty, friendship, personal development and affordability in mind.

Vibrant Women holidays are suitable for women over the age of 18 who are travelling on their own or with friends. You don’t need to think about anything just arrive and everything else is taken care of for you. Solo travellers can take the opportunity to re-invent themselves, reflect and do some exploring on their own as well as in the group. People travelling with friends will have wonderful memories to share well into the future. Read other women’s testimonials to see what it is you can experience.

One of the reasons we started running our own retreats was because we couldn’t find a package that met our personal  preferences. A lot of retreats we found we liked the sound of, but perhaps the balance of activities weren’t right i.e. too much yoga or meditation, or not enough free time. Often twin share was compulsory and being a light sleeper and a snorer made this not an option for some of us, (or some other poor person!) We wanted to have fun, eat good food, make new friends, explore a different culture, relax and rejuvenate, soak in the beauty of a different landscape and learn something new about ourselves. This is what we hope we have created for you. We would love you to join us ♥

Our Retreats fall into four categories:

Activity Based – like the Art and Soul Retreat, where a mix of activities are created around a theme, creativity, jewellery making, art therapy etc. could also be hiking or diving or snorkelling.

Group Process Based – These are personal development retreats that focus on enhancing your knowledge of self. Such as drug and alcohol recovery, life coaching and personal development.

Skill Development Based – These retreats focus on developing a skill such as yoga, meditation or mindfulness. Nutrition, detoxing, personal training, energy healing, massage therapy etc.

Destination Based – Focussed on a travel destination, country, culture or religion. Buddhist or Christian Pilgrimage, eg sacred sights of the UK. Culinary tour of France. Environmental tour to the amazon or Borneo etc.

Here are our 10 R’s for Retreating:

There are many reasons a retreat is important: they allow you to pull back, get inspired, become spacious, detox, and find your people. Retreat comes from the Latin verb “to pull back.” So, retreat, or a retreat, is a place where you pull back from the world. Take time for yourself, resent and reenergise before emerging somewhat more whole again.
