- All Day: Take it easy with a day of relaxation. Enjoy the amenities at your accommodation, perhaps indulge in a spa treatment, or take a leisurely walk in nature.
- Optional: Have a second opportunity to visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre at your leisure, as these centres are within walking distance from your hotel.

Departure Day. We will depart the river lodge at 8am and arrive back to Sandakan at approx 10am and to the airport by 11am. Any flights booked from 2pm onwards should work well on this day.ย

Sepilok Rainforest Edge Resort is a charming retreat nestled within the lush tropical rainforest of Sandakan, Sabah. Just a short walk from the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, the resort offers stylish Malay design chalets and a longhouse, surrounded by verdant greenery and hills. Guests can enjoy the rustic charm of wooden interiors, outdoor showers, and unique local artwork. Amenities include a plunge pool, restaurant, and various leisure facilities, making it an ideal base for exploring the wonders of Borneo.
*Please be aware that you will be staying in a natural jungle environment. There will be mosquitoes and other insects, and you may encounter macaques, so please avoid leaving food on your verandah. If you are uncomfortable with wildlife, this tour may not be the best fit for you.

If you are joining this tour after the Singapore Fling Tour, you will need a flight from Changi Airport to Sandakan Airport via Kuala Lumpur. Flights cost approximately AUD 300 and take around 6 hours, including the transfer in Kuala Lumpur. Please note that you will need to clear immigration in Kuala Lumpur, collect your bags, and check in for your domestic flight to Sandakan, so we need to allow sufficient time for this process. We will provide a suggested flight itinerary 6 months before travel.
This tour requires a $500 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit. Once you have secured your booking, you will receive a welcome email with all the details for the trip.ย

No visa required: Australians can enter Malaysia, including Sandakan, without a visa for stays up to 90 days for tourism purposes.

- Up to 180 Days Before Tour Start: A $500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit will be retained.
- From 180 – 75 Days Before Tour Start: 25% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- From 75 – 45 Days Before Tour Start: 50% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- Less Than 45 Days Before Tour Start or No Shows: The entire amount 100% of the tour cost will be retained, as we would have already incurred costs for accommodation, transport, flights, and activities, which cannot be refunded to us.
- After Tour Commencement: No refunds will be issued.

Our rates do not include any kind of travel insurance and each guest must make sure to arrange their own necessary insurance prior arrival. We will do everything possible to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. However, all travel involves some degree of risk we strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance for your adventure.ย
