Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai & Cherry Blossoms Tour

Chiang Mai

A sprawling, modern city has grown up around ancient Chiang Mai (เน€เธŠเธตเธขเธ‡เนƒเธซเธกเนˆ).ย  The historic centre of Chiang Mai still feels overwhelmingly residential, more like a sleepy country town than a bustling capital. If you drive in a straight line in any direction, you’ll soon find yourself in the lush green countryside and pristine rainforests dotted with churning waterfalls, serene wรกt and peaceful country villages โ€“ as well as a host of markets, farms and tea plantations.

Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai is a Thai city and province nestled among mountainous regions in the north, offering ancient royal temples, stunning artwork, museums, culture and education. Its among the places to go in Northern Thailand. With its relaxed pace and beautiful temples, Chiang Rai is the little sister to Chiang Mai and also the last stop before Laos.ย

Cherry Blossoms

Across northern Thailand, over 500,000 blooming Wild Himalayan Cherry Trees rain pink petals down the countryside of the Chiang Mai district that turn the mountains and valleys an enchanting pastel pink.ย  The sakura species that is found in Thailand are the wild Himalayan cherry trees, also known as Nang Phaya Sua Kroang or Tiger Queens by the locals.

Previously Australians and 63 other countries could travel to Thailand Visa free for 30 days. At the moment things are changing regularly so please visit the Thai Consular for more details of what it currently applicable.ย ย

Up until 75 days before the start of the tour a $500 non-refundable non-transferrable deposit will be retained.ย  For between 75 days and 45 days, ย 50% of the final payment, this is in addition to the non refundable deposit will be forfeited.ย  For less than 45 days or for no shows the entire amount will be retained as we would have already had to pay for accommodation, transport, flights and activities, and this money will not be returned to us.ย  Once the tour has commenced no monies will be returned to you.ย  This is whyย travel insurance is compulsory.

Our rates do not include any kind of travel insurance and each guest must make sure to arrange their own necessary insurance prior arrival to Thailand. We will do everything possible to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. However, all travel involves some degree of risk we strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance for your adventure.ย

Your insurance protection should include cover for cancellation, medical, in particular Coronavirus and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death and loss of personal baggage and money and personal liability. Insurance cover offered by credit card companies or reciprocal medical cover agreements are often not comprehensive please check this before travelling. Or contact our preferred Travel Insurance provider CoverMore

For our ground transportation our standard baggage allowance per person is 1 big bag (76x48Cm) + 1 Hand carry (which clients might need to carry with them on seat) *This is to and from the airport & to and from Chiang Rai.ย

In case if the clients exceed this assigned baggage allowance then the transport company holds the right to add another van or luggage truck with additional supplement charge (which have to be settled by directly by the clients) based on requirement to provide a comfortable experience to our clients.

Passport, Journal, Camera, Prescription Medication, Converter Plug & Chargers. Swimmers, sunscreen and hat. Shorts, t-shirts, dresses and comfortable walking shoes. Also weather may be cool especially overnight and early mornings. Bring long pants and cardigans and clothes that can be layered as it heats up during the day.

A moderate level of fitness is required to enjoy all the sites we visit. Some of the days we are out and about all day you do need to be able to walk up to 5km a day and sometimes at pace if we are heading somewhere we need to be on time. Other times its more of a stroll however please consider if you think you would hold the group up. We cannot unfortunately have women travel with us who require assistance to walk, for example if you use a walking stick you will not be able to get to many of the sites we visit. Footpaths are uneven and there are lots of stairs.ย

We feel the highlight of Laos and Cambodia are Luang Prabang and Siem Reap. Experience a little bit of slow travel by combining two of Asia’s mot beautiful destinations. Instead of hopping all over Asia immerse yourself in the culture, history and natural beauty of these two locations.ย

Let time stand still as you wander Anger Wat, or visit Buddhist temples, stunning waterfalls and see the monks on their morning alms. Its a spiritual adventure.ย
