Day 1 โ Arrival in Palermo
Morning: Arrive at Palermo Punta Raisi Airport. A private car will whisk you away to your accommodation in Palermo, allowing you to relax and take in the first glimpses of this vibrant city.
Afternoon: Settle into your hotel, unpack, and perhaps take a short walk around the neighborhood to familiarize yourself with your surroundings.
- Evening: Enjoy your first evening in Palermo at your leisure. You might choose to dine at a local trattoria, savoring authentic Sicilian dishes such as arancini and pasta alla norma.

Day 2 โ Palermo Half-Day Guided Tour
Morning: Meet your guide at 9:30 AM for an exploration of Palermo. This tour offers a great introduction to key features of the city. Your guide will introduce you, in broad terms, to explore Palermoโs history, art and architecture.ย We will make stops at key Norman buildings, notably the Norman churches of San Cataldo and la Martorana.ย As you stroll the cityโs lively and colourful streets, you can taste Palermoโs street food.ย Emphasis will also be put on the problems and challenges the city faces, and the role played by the Mafia.ย All in all, this should make for a fascinating orientation to this complex capital city.
Afternoon: After the guided tour, enjoy some free time to explore Palermo at your own pace. You might visit the bustling Ballarรฒ market or the serene Palermo Cathedral.
Evening: Wind down with a leisurely dinner, perhaps trying Palermo’s famous street food, such as panelle or sfincione.

Day 3 โ Palermo Cooking Class
Sicilian cuisine stands as one of the worldโs richest, drawing from Greek, Arab, Norman and Spanish traditions. Enjoy a market to table culinary adventure in the heart of Palermoโs historic center. Besides learning to cook traditional Sicilian dishes under the wing of an experienced chef, this is a great opportunity to discover one of Palermoโs ancient food markets, soaking its popular atmosphere, identify some key ingredients of Sicilian cuisine, and understand their origins.
The experience starts at 10:00 in the company of your Chef, you will shop at one of Palermoโs ancient food markets, gathering all the fresh seasonal ingredients to be used to prepare traditional recipes. You will then stroll through the alleyways of the historic center, to the air-conditioned school kitchen where you will prepare a 4-course Sicilian meal. During this hands-on culinary experience, you will learn the techniques needed to recreate the dishes upon your return home.
Following the lesson, you will of course sit down together to enjoy the dishes you have prepared. A selection of Sicilian wines will accompany your meal, and homemade liqueurs and coffee will round off your cookery experience.
Afternoon: Free time to explore on your own.

Day 4 โ Cefalรน Introduction Tour
Morning: Take an hour-long train ride east of Palermo to the charming town of Cefalรน.
Afternoon: Begin your guided tour with a visit to the stunning Norman Cathedral, followed by an optional hike up La Rocca for spectacular views. If hiking isn’t your thing, relax at a cafรฉ or the beach.
Evening: Enjoy a peaceful evening in Cefalรน, exploring its medieval streets or simply relaxing by the seaside.

All Day: Spend the day at your own pace, soaking up the tranquil atmosphere of Cefalรน. You might visit local shops, relax on the sandy beaches, or take a leisurely stroll through the historic town center.

This morning, your driver will pick you up at your accommodation in Cefalรน, and you will all drive towards the brooding, smoldering Mount Etna, which dominates the entire north-eastern region of Sicily. You will meet your guides there. On this guided hike, you will explore the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, a unique and dynamic landscape shaped by hundreds of thousands of years of volcanic activity. You will climb up ancient lava flows, walk on the edge of an extinct crater and along the path that leads to the magnificent panorama of the Valle del Bove. You will complete your experience of the Volcano by exploring a lava cave. By the end of the hike, you will have become familiar with the history and the peculiar geology and flora of the Etna in general, and of this area of the Etna in particular.
After the excursion, you will stop at one of the best local wineries for a wine tasting and a typical Sicilian light lunch, made of seasonal and local products.ย
Afternoon: Transfer to Taormina and check into your hotel.

- Morning: Meet your guide at 9:30 AM for a half-day tour of Taormina. Visit the town’s well-preserved Greek theatre, Piazza Duomo, and Piazza IX Aprile, where you can enjoy an almond granita.
- Afternoon: Explore Taormina further on your own, perhaps doing some shopping or visiting local attractions. Take a short drive to the village of Castelmola, known for its splendid panorama and local almond wine.
- Evening: Enjoy a performance of the Italian Opera in Taormina.

Day 8 โ Syracuse Half-Day Tour
Morning: Check out from your hotel in Taormina and head to Syracuse with your private driver, a scenic two-hour drive.

- From 180 โ 75 Days Before Tour Start: 25% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- Fromย 75 โ 45 Days Before Tour Start: 50% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- Less Than 45 Days Before Tour Start or No Shows: The entire amount 100% of the tour cost will be retained, as we would have already incurred costs for accommodation, transport, flights, and activities, which cannot be refunded to us.
