Desert Stars & Lost Cities of Jordan
Amman ~ Dead Sea ~ Petra ~ Wadi Rum ~ Aqaba ~ Amman

Β This tour starts and ends in Amman Jordan

Welcome to Jordan β€” a kingdom so enchanting it has been captivating travellers for thousands of years… and now it’s your turn.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has always had a certain magic about it. Long ago, ancient explorers crossed its lands with wide‑eyed wonder β€” and today, modern women adventurers are doing exactly the same. This vibrant, welcoming country is full of life, warmth, and charm, ready to sweep you off your feet.

Most people instantly think of Petra when Jordan is mentioned β€” the legendary rose‑red city carved into the cliffs more than a thousand years ago. And yes, Petra absolutely lives up to its reputation. It’s dramatic, breathtaking, and utterly unforgettable.

But Jordan is so much more than Petra.

This is a land where contrasts blend beautifully β€” sea and desert, ancient and modern, lively and serene. One day you might be exploring lush, fertile valleys, and the next you could be standing quietly among vast, echoing desert canyons. You can float effortlessly in the Dead Sea, snorkel in the Red Sea’s shimmering coral reefs, or gaze at the stars in Wadi Rum’s otherworldly stillness.

Jordan’s history is as rich as its landscapes. Modern Jordan emerged after the First World War under King Abdullah I, followed by decades of steady leadership under King Hussein. Today, under King Abdullah II, the country remains peaceful, stable, and wonderfully welcoming.

But perhaps the most unforgettable part of Jordan is how it feels.

From the moment you arrive, Jordan wraps itself around you.
Its history isn’t locked away behind museum glass β€” it surrounds you. Ancient civilisations have left their mark everywhere: in the stones beneath your feet, in time‑worn carvings, and in the warm spirit of the people who proudly keep their heritage alive.

Jordan isn’t merely a place to visit β€” it’s a place to experience, to feel, and to fall in love with.

"l have travelled with Tammie on many retreats: Bali, Fiji, Vanuatu, Awaba, Mount Alford and Port Douglas. Each tour is a different experience with the same amount of care taken to ensure you feel safe and well catered for. There is always the right amount of adventure, local experiences and down time. The camaraderie between the women is warm and often hilarious. Tammie's organisational skills and attention to detail are smooth and seamless, which make for a most enjoyable experience."
