Located right beside the iconic Budapest State Opera House, itโ€™s the perfect base to soak up the cityโ€™s atmosphere.

Getting around is incredibly easy โ€” itโ€™s just a 15-minute walk from the arrival train station, only 700 metres to the hop-on, hop-off bus, and the Opera Metro Station (M1 line) is just 30 metres away.

This is a hotel (not an apartment), so youโ€™ll enjoy added comfort and convenience, including daily breakfast included โ€” perfect for keeping things simple while YOU travel. The rooms are cozy and full of charm, with options of attic studios or comfortable double rooms, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The property also features a restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, slippers, toiletries, and a hairdryer.

Youโ€™ll be within easy walking distance of Budapestโ€™s highlights:
St. Stephenโ€™s Basilica โ€“ 400m
Dohรกny Street Synagogue โ€“ 700m

With the airport just 20km away, plus transport links right at the doorstep, this is a stylish, convenient, and welcoming stop on our European journey. We think this is the perfect way to end your 27-night Euro rail adventure with us.

September is a beautiful time to visit Greeceโ€”sunny and warm, but with a gentler heat than July. Youโ€™ll still want comfortable walking shoes for exploring ruins and cobbled streets, plus sandals for beach days. If youโ€™ll be swimming, water shoes or reef-safe sandals are wise to avoid injury from sea urchins or rocky shores.

Pack a bathing suit, light sundresses, and short-sleeved tops for daytime adventures. Youโ€™ll likely pick up a few souvenir tees, so no need to overpack. For evenings or breezy ferry rides, a lightweight jacket or wrap is ideal. Cotton and linen fabrics will keep you cool and comfortable, especially in coastal areas.

If youโ€™re visiting churches or attending religious festivals, bring long pants or a skirt and a sleeved shirt. A scarf is a versatile additionโ€”use it for sun protection, modesty, or a touch of elegance when entering sacred spaces.

September invites a softer paletteโ€”think earthy tones, flowing fabrics, and layers that move with the breeze. Youโ€™ll feel right at home dressing lightly, but with a nod to the seasonโ€™s shift.

Of course, the pyramids and the Sphinx are unforgettableโ€ฆ but what no one tells you is how the other sites completely steal your heart. Abu Simbel, Luxor, the Temple of Isis โ€” absolutely breathtaking in ways you canโ€™t quite prepare for.

And then thereโ€™s everything in betweenโ€ฆ

The vibrant chaos of the Aswan and Luxor markets, sailing along the Nile on a dreamy cruise, dressing up and embracing the experience, indulging in the most incredible babaganoush, discovering local art and perfumes โ€” every moment was magic.

Egypt, you are definitely in our top 3 favourite destinations โ€” so unique, so rich in history, and such an unforgettable experience. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ
Plus, we had the best group (as always!)โ€ฆ and who could forget when Kath got locked in the dunny at the Winter Palace โ€” we nearly left for the airport without her ๐Ÿ˜‚
