At Vibrant women Travel we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests, which is why we have various roles to meet different needs and legal requirements in each country.
Tour Guide
In some countries, such as Spain, India, and Morocco, only licensed guides can operate in each city or location. This means your tour guide will only offer services in the specific location you are visiting and cannot travel with you. They are experts in local history, culture, and attractions, providing you with in-depth knowledge during your stay in that area.
Tour Leader
In countries where only local guides are allowed to operate, you will also have a Tour Leader. The Tour Leader coordinates your travel between locations, ensuring you meet local guides for your activities, arranging entrance fees, and managing other logistics. They act as a point of continuity throughout your tour, handling the overall organisation and ensuring a smooth journey from place to place.
Tour Manager
In other countries, such as Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Türkiye, licensed tour guides can travel with guests, providing an overview of the entire country. In these cases, the role of the Tour Manager combines the responsibilities of both a Tour Guide and a Tour Leader. They will provide insights into the country as a whole, organise your travel arrangements, and ensure you have a cohesive and informative experience.
Local Experts
During your tour, you may also meet local experts for specific experiences, such as visiting a museum or attending a wine tasting. These specialists offer detailed information on aspects of your journey, enhancing your understanding and enjoyment of these unique activities.
Host
The Host’s role is to support the Tour Guide/Manager as required and assist with any emergencies. Hosts are provided on tours that have eight or more participants as an extra pair of hands to provide additional assistance to our guests. The Host is not a tour guide and is therefore, not expected to provide local information. They can however at times also be the Tour Leader assisting you to navigate through your travel experiences with local experts and guides.
Common to all Roles
Tour Guides, Hosts, Leader and Managers are primarily required during scheduled activities to ensure everything runs smoothly. Attendance at dinners or after hours is not a requirement for any of these roles, but if they choose to join you, they should not be responsible for managing the bill or any expenses associated with personal spending.
In addition this includes negotiating prices in markets or bartering for guests. Please keep in mind our guides often have to return to the same vendors time and time again and work on creating a good relationship so you receive a fair price. The do not want to be responsible for trying to get a price reduction for you. In cultures where bartering is part of the process we suggest negotiating to a price you are comfortable paying. This seems the best way unless you are an expert negotiater and revel in the process. Always be polite and respectful.
Why Different Roles?
Each country has different laws and licensing requirements regarding tourism. By having these distinct roles, we ensure compliance with local regulations while providing you with the best possible experience, tailored to the specific requirements of each destination.
