Step into the heart of rural Rajasthan at Chhotaramโ€™s Salawas Village Homestay, a welcoming family-run retreat just 20 km from Jodhpur. Founded by the Prajapat family, the homestay is built on the belief that โ€œthe soul of India lies in its villages.โ€ Here, travellers experience that truth first-hand surrounded by traditional mud cottages, colourful culture, and the everyday rhythm of a Rajasthani village.

Each of the 10 comfortable guest rooms has been thoughtfully designed to combine local craftsmanship with homely simplicity. Expect clean, cosy spaces and the warm attention of your hosts, who treat every guest as extended family.

Meals are a highlight of every stay, lovingly prepared by Chhotaramโ€™s wife and mother, who cook generous servings of authentic Rajasthani dishes bursting with flavour. Donโ€™t expect a menu youโ€™ll be treated to whatโ€™s fresh, local, and cooked with heart.

When not exploring nearby Jodhpur, unwind in the homestayโ€™s garden, relax in the shared lounge, or visit the on-site craft shop featuring handwoven textiles made by local artisans. The family is always happy to arrange village walks, cultural experiences, or local weaving demonstrations.

Whether you come for the food, the culture, or the connection, Chhotaramโ€™s Salawas Village Homestay offers an unforgettable chance to live true rural Rajasthan life.

India is not one dimensional.
It is vibrant and still, celebratory and deeply spiritual.
One journey invites reflection, sacred spaces and time to slow down.

The other celebrates colour, culture and the joy of Holi.
Each tour stands beautifully on its own, but together they offer balance.

A fuller experience of India that honours both depth and celebration.

If you are drawn to travel that is thoughtful, immersive and meaningful, these journeys were designed to complement each other.

Explore both tours via the link in our bio.

This journey is centred around the celebration of Holi, one of Indiaโ€™s most joyful and meaningful festivals.
But it is not just about the festival itself.

Beyond the colour and celebration, this journey takes you through some of Indiaโ€™s most captivating destinations.

From the energy of Mumbai to the blue streets of Jodhpur, the quiet traditions of Bishnoi Village, the golden desert landscapes of Jaisalmer.

Each place adds a different layer to the experience, creating a journey that is rich, vibrant and deeply cultural.

Holi is the heart of the celebration, but the places you move through are what give this journey its depth.
